In March 1965, 600 people, led by U.S. civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., set out from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in a non-violent march for free and fair voting rights. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay interprets these events in her epic drama "Selma," VOA's Penelope Poulou has more.
