The Washington Bus Experience
Phnom Penh is attempting to start a regular public bus service. The city launched a similar but unsuccessful trial in 2001. Experts say that the success this time shows a change in people’s attitude toward public transportation as well as growing traffic congestions. VOA Khmer’s Soeung Sophat, who took part in the 2001 trial, shares his on-the-ground, personal experience about the advantages of Washington's bus commute rides.
