Participants at the 21st Anniversary of Paris Peace Accord reacted strongly to a comment made by Prime Minister Hun Sen that Cambodia had lost the rights to claim back Kampuchea Krom (lower Cambodia) and Koh Troal island. In his five-hour speech to the National Assembly on August 9, the premier told the chamber that after Cambodia submitted a map, which did not include those pieces of land, to the United Nations in 1960s, it lost the legitimate rights to claim back the territory. VOA Khmer's Sok Khemara reports from the conference in Arlington, Virginia.
