US Students Learns Politics Ahead of Conventions

Americans over the ages of 18 can vote in elections. But students younger than 18 typically learn about US politics in high school courses or from their parents. Interest increases in presidential election years like this one, especially with the Republican and Democratic parities’ nominating conventions opening soon. VOA’s Carolyn Presutti found two programs where young Americans learns about politics by participating in the process rather than reading about it in textbooks.
