“Generation Startup” Documentary Inspires Young Entrepreneurs to Move Outside of Comfort Zone

Award-winning filmmaker Cheryl Miller Houser recently sat down with VOA Khmer to talk about her new film which highlights the highs and lows in following one's dreams.

American filmmaker Cheryl Miller Houser spent 17 months following six recent graduates pursuing the American dream by building startup companies in Detroit, Michigan.

Last week, the US Embassy in Phnom Penh -- committed to developing mutual understanding between the United States and Cambodia -- invited Houser to screen her new documentary, “Generation Startup,” to young Cambodian filmmakers and entrepreneurs. The award-winning filmmaker sat down in Phnom Penh with VOA Khmer’s Malis Tum to talk about the importance of following one’s dreams, making mistakes, and embracing new challenges.
