China will soon provide 6 naval ships to Cambodia to combat piracy and smugglers operations in Cambodia's waters, according to the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia.
Speaking at the ceremony to provide 400 police motocyles to the Cambodian Ministry of the Interior on Friday, the Chinese Ambassador said he hopes the six gun boats will help Cambodia in its fight against drug trafficking.
In another development, the two former Khmer Rouge leaders are being charged with war crimes and crimes against foreigners.
The two charges will allow the government to hold the two men for another three years until a UN-backed tribunal is formed to try the former Khmer Rouge leaders.
