The Khmer People's Front party said it's going to gather on Friday January 7 to commemorate the 26th anniversary of the Vietnamese invasion as planned.
The Phnom Penh city hall has refused to issue permission to the party citing concerns about violent confrontation between the supporters and protesters of the controversial anniversary.
The Phnom Penh police said if there's an order from the ministry of the interior, police will crack down on the protesters
