Human Trafficking Seminar - 2004-11-17

The two-day seminar on human trafficking ended Wednesday with a determination from participants to do more to combat the problem.

In a closing speech, Cambodian deputy prime minister Sar Kheng said immediate actions are needed to combat human trafficking and that no nation can tackle the problem alone.

US ambassador Charles Ray said human trafficking is an international problem and that all nations have to work together to combat it.

The seminar was sponsored by the US, Great Britain, Australian, and Thai embassies.
