A high-ranking member of the Sam Rainsy party resigns from his position Wednesday to go back to his tourism business.
Mr. Moeung Son was a member of the executive committee in the Sam Rainsy party.
Speaking to reporters at his travel office, Mr. Moeung Son said his business suffered because of his affiliation with the opposition party.
The Sam Rainsy party said it understands Mr. Moeung Son's situation and gladly accepted his resignation.
Mr. Moeung said he had no plan to join another party.
