Cambodia's Rival Groups Have Only Six More Issues to Resolve - 2004-05-19

The working groups of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and the FUNCINPEC Party have come closer to end the deadlock by resolving almost 63 points, and only 6 points remain to be resolved by the top leaders of both parties.

The remaining negotiations points are the institution of Question Time at the National Assembly, the border treaties with Vietnam, the creation of the Ministry of Immigration, and last but not least the issue of reforms, including the judicial reform and a general salary increase for the government employees.
