High-ranking officials from the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and the Alliance of Democrats (AD) admitted on condition of anonymity that a meeting between FUNCINPEC President, Prince Norodom Ranariddh and the CPP vice-president, Prime Minister Hun Sen is the only way to break the current political deadlock.
The Sam Rainsy Party General Secretary, Mr. Eng Chhay Eang, said the AD has confidence in Prince Ranariddh in the negotiations.
