TB Should be Treated by Directly-Observed Therapy - 2004-02-19

In our Hello VOA program, Dr. Taing Tek Hong of Jacksonville, Florida, told our listeners that tuberculosis patients should be treated through Directly-Observed Therapy to insure the accurate dose and length of time.

In answering the listeners' questions from all over Cambodia, Dr. Taing said since it takes six months to complete the treatment, patients could sometimes forget to take the medication without a "witness".
