Police in Poipet near the Thai-Khmer border arrested three more men in connection with the killings of two Sam Rainsy Party activists last Thursday night in Banteay Meanchey province.
Provincial deputy police commissioner said the arrests were made with the tips from the four men arrested earlier in the case.
A Sam Rainsy Party spokesman was not impressed by the new arrests by saying it is a police theatrical play. Authorities said last Thursday's killings were an arm robbery case by saying evidence showed that the amount of 270,000 Bahts were taken from the victims.
