Cambodia Bans Poultry from Neighboring Countries - 2004-01-13


Cambodia temporarily bans imports of chicken, ducks and eggs from its neighboring countries that are affected by the bird flu epidemic.

Cambodian ministry of agriculture and ministry of health are concerned particularly about poultry from Vietnam where several deaths have been linked to bird flu.

W-H-O and Cambodian health officials are reportedly investigating to see if there are any cases of bird flu in Cambodia.
