Iraq Accepts UN Resolution; Bin Laden Probably Alive; US House of Representatives Elects First Female Leader - 2002-11-22

Baghdad agreed to accept the revised UN resolution to allow UN weapons inspectors back into Iraq. In a letter to the office of the UN general secretary Kofi Annan, Iraq said it never had weapons of mass destruction before.

US officials said the voice on the tape very likely belongs to Osama bin Laden.

Democrats in the US House of Representatives voted Nancy Peloci from California to become their next leader. The 61 year-old Congresswoman is the first woman to hold the position. She will take over as Minority Leader when Representative Dick Gephart steps down in January.
