Swelling Mekong Could Mean Floods, Experts Warn

The Mekong River is swelling with water that could turn into a deluge, weather experts warn.

Data picked up at collection sites along the river indicates high water is threatening to burst the banks in several provinces, meteorologists said.

Especially at risk are Kratie, Stung Treng and Kampong Cham provinces, they said.

Kham Phoeun, governor of Kratie province, said he was prepared to help people in case of flooding.
