The US will donate 49 laptops to the Royal Armed Forces of Cambodia, a gift worth about $40,000, the US Embassy said Thursday.
A recent assessment between the RCAF and the US Pacific Command showed the computers were needed, the embassy said in a statement.
The majority would be used in an English-language training program, with a handful sent to "key offices" at the Ministry of Defense, the embassy said.
The computers are some of the first items to be donated under recently resumed military aid from the US, the embassy said.
