Cambodian drug authorities have sought help from other countries to destroy the 3 tons of drug-making materials confiscated April 1.
"We need the experts who know about the formulas… and who had faced drug issues before," Mean Virith, director of the Ministry of Interior's anti-drug office, said Wednesday.
Chemical experts from the UN and Bangkok are expected to arrive in Cambodia this week, and Interior Minister Sar Kheng has met with Thai officials over destroying the drugs, officials said.
Authorities confiscated the drugs in a series of raids in Kampong Speu province, netting 18 suspects that included 14 Cambodians.
