Prince Norodom Ranariddh says he is working towards a legal compromise with FUNCINPEC to end the lawsuit against him, for allegedly selling the former headquarters and pocketing the money.
In an interview with VOA, Ranariddh says that should he not reached an agreement with his former party, he will attend a court hearing [January 5th] to answer questions on the alleged lawsuit. Meanwhile, FUNCINPEC has asked the court to detain Ranariddh while it is investigating the case.
Prince Ranariddh says that [technically] the court has no bases to hold him because he is not a threat to those involved in the case.
