King Cousin's New Party Combines at Least With 4 Movements


Sampoan Sangkum Chiet Niyum (SSCN), or nationalist society alliance officially announces its formation, to participate in the next election.

Four political parties form SSCN to compete with ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP).

In a praying ceremony to former King Ang Duong's soul at former Cambodian capital Phnom Oudong, Prince Sisowath Tomico was officially appointed chief delegate of the SSCN or national unification movement.

The four member parties are: Khmer Front Party, Moha Nokor party, Khmer Unity party, and former Prime Minister Son San's Khmer National Liberation Front Party.

King Norodom Sihamoni's cousin, Prince Sisowath Tomico says that the SSCN will be a formal political party and will compete with the CPP, with basic goals as national unification, democracy and religion.

Khmer Front Party's president Suth Dina says that his party and the national unification movement will work together to combat 3 common enemies namely foreign agression, corruption, and genocide.

In a joint statement called Phnom Preah Reach Troap statement, the national unification movement asks Cambodians from all walks of life to help change the leadership that makes the nation and the people fall into slavery.
