The Appeals Court will hear Rong Chhun's request to be released on bail on December 2, according to Rong's lawyer, Tae Chamnan.
As for Mr. Mam Sonando case, it is not known when the Supreme Court will schedule a hearing for him after the Appeals Court denied his bail in the past.
Both men were jailed in October for speaking out against the additional border treaty Cambodia recently signed with Vietnam. Mr. Rong Chhun is the president of Cambodia Independent Teachers' Association, and Mr. Mam Sonando is the manager of Beehive 105 FM radio.
Mr. Tae said that he has received a letter from the court asking him to appear on December 2nd at the hearing for Mr. Rong's bail.
