National Assembly President Norodom Ranariddh Appeals for Concensus in Border Talks

President of the National Assembly Norodom Ranariddh Thursday appeals for consensus among national leaders in order to solve border issues with Cambodia's neighbors.

Speaking to reporters in Phnom Penh today, Ranariddh said there is disagreement in the border talks in China between the Sam Rainsy Party(SRP) and the government.

SRP claims it has enough evidence to show the loss of Cambodian territory. The government delegation said there's no loss of Cambodian territory to its neighbors.

Local non-governmental organizations in Cambodia say they are worried about the disagreement between members of the border committee. They agree that former King Norodom Sihanouk should have more power as the chairman of the border committee.
