Cambodian filmmakers grabbed the top two spots of the Tropfest South East Asia in January. Tropfest, which started in Sydney, Australia, 20 years ago, is the world’s biggest short film festival. This year was the first time it was held in Southeast Asia, opening up a platform for Asean filmmakers. The black-and-white silent film, "Rice," by Sothea Ines, won first place. Sothea Ines spoke to Im Sothearith of VOA Khmer by Skype from Phnom Penh.
