A Local NGO to Introduce New Crop for Cambodian Farmers - 2004-03-02

The president of the Cambodian Buddhist Association for Development, Keo Mony Chenda, announced a promotional project to encourage the people in the provinces of Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Odor Meanchey to cultivate new crop of "Preng Lahong" that can produce oil for export to neighboring Thailand.

The vegetable oil can be used to produce lubrication fluid, auto body paint, and cosmetics products.
