Cambodian Commerce Minister Sun Chanthol last week concluded a trade mission in the United States, by emphasizing his government’s willingness to make “deep” reforms, including serious anti-corruption efforts, to improve its investment climate. The minister made those comments last Monday during an interview at VOA Khmer, at the conclusion of a one-week visit that also took him to Los Angeles and Seattle. He tells VOA Khmer’s Soeung Sophat that while he is not proud about “rampant corruption” in the country, the government has taken important steps to fight it. (Soeung Sophat, Washington)
