WASHINGTON DC —
US Congressman Ed Royce says Prime Minister Hun Sen has “brought Cambodia to the brink” and must step down.
In a statement Sunday, Royce, who is the head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said the ruling Cambodian People’s Party has begun “killing peaceful protesters” while summoning both opposition leaders, Sam Rainsy and Kem Sokha, to court.
“It’s time for Hun Sen to end his three-decade grip on power and step down,” Royce said. “The people of Cambodian deserver far better.”
