In response to FUNCINPEC president Norodom Ranariddh, who said he is ready to talk with prime minister Hun Sen at any time, CPP spokesman Khieu Kanharith said CPP's door remains open 24 hours a day.
In response to Prince Ranariddh's suggestion that a new election should be held if the political deadlock continues past Cambodian New Year in mid-April, Mr. Kanharith said Cambodian constitution does not mention about another election if one results in a deadlock.
Mr. Kanharith said future talks should be direct and without any threats or conditions. He said all issues should be discussed on the negotiation table.
