Tornedo Rips a Mountainous Area in Pailin City

Four people are injured and more than 100 houses are destroyed by an unprecedented tornedo that rips through a mountainous area in Pailin city, west of Cambodia, more than 500km from Phnom Penh, say Cambodian authority and eyewitnesses account.

Pailin municipality's deputy governor Kaet Sothea says that Cambodia Red Cross transports aids to the victims of a twister which demolished 184 houses to the ground.

Among the four injured people are an elderly woman, two young girls, and a teenager.

Pailin rescue team took the victims to the hospital right away.

There is no report about people buried in the debris from the demolished houses.

Mr. Kaet, and Pailin's deputy commissioner Haat Thea say that they need tens of thousands of US dollar to assist the victims.
