The first Baha’i temple built in Battambang province, Cambodia, lives up to its international reputation by providing a safe space for Cambodian as well as foreign worshipers of any religion to worship their god freely, be it, Christ, Mohammad or Buddha.
Just one month after Cambodia general election in 2018, Meach Sovanarra, former opposition figure and other 13 members of opposition party and activists were released from Prey Sar Prison after being pardoned by the King as requested by Prime Minister Hun Sen during early Tuesday morning on 28th August, 2018. They had been charged with leading riots near Freedom Park at Wat Phnom since July, 2014. To cheer on their freedom, they came to receive blessing from monks at Wat Chas in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Ballots from Sunday’s national election in Cambodia illustrate mixed messages. Intended or not, there were invalid votes and spoiled ballots as a result of not selecting any party, crossing out candidates, and slashing on party logos.
