Cambodia consistently places towards the bottom of global anti-corruption rankings, coming 150th out of 168 counties in TI’s 2015 Corruption Perceptions Index.
The court questioned 16 witnesses into Monday evening and civil society observers had not been allowed to observe the proceedings.

An opposition official says the campaign in the provinces had been met with several incidents of harassment and disruption by local authorities, which he called “a serious violation of political rights.”

The first round of talks will take place in August 2017, according to a statement from the Ministry of Labor, followed by further discussions in September of that year.
