Tourists in Cambodia are being given the chance to get up close with rare and endangered bird species. A special boat tourtakes in a protected nature reserve on the Tonle Sap lake in the northwest of the country. In the wet season, the Tonle Sap is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, swelling to 12,000 square kilometers before shrinking back to 2,500 square kilometers during the dry half of the year. The whole lake is a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and, as Nick Butler, the British co-founder of Indochine Exploration explains, it's an important food source for local people and breeding ground for large water birds.
