Deadlock Worries Cambodia's NGOs - 2004-01-21

After nearly six months of stalemate, a number of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) expressed deep concerns over the lack of political will among the top leaders of Cambodia's three main parties to resolve their differences.

The President of one of the NGOs, the Khmer Youth Association, told VOA that a new election would be too costly for Cambodia, and there is no guarantee that one political party will win the two-third majority to form a new government by itself.
