The U.S. economy beat expectations last month - adding 163 thousand new jobs in July. That's welcome news for Americans still looking for work. But the numbers don't tell the whole story. Despite better than expected job growth, the U.S. unemployment rate inched higher in July. It's now 8.3 percent - up one tenth of one percent from the previous month. Mil Arcega has more.
