Worrying human rights records, land grab, and murder of an environmentalist dominated Friday on the opening of a conference to mark the anniversary of the Paris Peace Accord held in Washington DC area. Participants from all over the US, Canada, France, and Cambodia are finding ways to put democracy back on track 21 years after the historic agreement was signed by four warring factions. "We will look at all that went wrong and find ways to correct it at the end of this conference," said Yap Kimtung, president of the Cambodian American for Human Rights and Democracy. The conference will end this Sunday. VOA Khmer's Mem Kimseng reports.
