UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie addressed a National Press Club luncheon on Tues. March 8 to mark the founding of the National Center for Refugees and Immigrant Children.

Jolie donated $500,000 to launch the Center which is being implemented in partnership with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

The UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador said "at some point" her experience in adopting her son,Maddox, from Cambodia has an impact on her decision to start the Center.

The UNHCR say the key to the success of this center is the commitment of large law firms to provide free legal services to children in their communities in the U.S.
