The Cambodian Watchdog Council writes a letter Monday to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan asking him to help intervene on behalf of the three opposition lawmakers who were stripped of their parliamentary immunity last week.
The local non-governmental organization (NGO) also write a separate letter to two US Senators Mitch McConnell and John McCain for the same purpose.
The Watchdog Council told the UN Secretary-General and the two senators that the Cambodian government is intimidating people in Cambodia who love democracy.
