Representatives of donor countries and financial institutions such as the World Bank and IMF met with the president of the Opposition Party Mr. Sam Rainsy ahead of the Consultative Group meeting next week.
Mr. Sam Rainsy said the informal meeting focused on the effectiveness of aid distribution in Cambodia and the efforts to combat corruption.
Mr. Rainsy said this year donor countries expect the Cambodian government to take concrete actions towards reforms.
In another development, the permament committee of the National Assembly will meet tomorrow (Thursday) to decide on Mr. Rainsy's parliamentary immunity in the FUNCINPEC lawsuit.
