US ambassador to Cambodia Charles Ray held a meeting with Cambodian Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith Wednesday.
Details of the meeting were not released to the public. Cambodian Minister of Information told VOA it was a regular meeting but added that the US ambassador praised about the formation of the new government.
In another development, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen left for France today.
The minister of information who is also the government's spokesman said the prime minister went to France for the annual physical checkup.
The president of the national assembly Norodom Ranaridh was also outside Cambodia.
Rumor has it that the two leaders might meet up in France and go to see King Sihanouk in Beijing together later this month.
