King Sihanouk Comments on the Anniversary of the Election - 2004-07-28

On the anniversary of the July 27, 2003 election day, Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk expressed his concern that the country continue to face serious political crisis.

In a message written in French, the king said the fact the Alliance of Democrats rejected Hun Sen as the new prime minister has led to the "block vote" and the accusation that the Sam Rainsy party is trying to build an army to topple Hun Sen.

Traditionally, Cambodian politicians don't comment on the king's comments.
