In an interview with VOA stringer in Phnom Penh, Cambodian People's Party (CPP) spokesman Khieu Kanharith said CPP is not breaking up as rumor has it.
In response to the police force surrounding the Senate building and Mr. Chea Sim's house, Mr. Kanharith said the police was responding to a report that someone has broken into the Constitutional Council office.
Mr. Kanharith said Senate President Chea Sim who was also an acting Head of State left the country for medical reason not because he was pressured to sign the "block vote" bill as opposition party Sam Rainsy has stated.
