FM 90 Stops Airing CCHR's programs - 2004-06-11

The pro-FUNCINPEC radio station FM 90 stops broadcasting the Cambodian Center for Human Rights' (CCHR) democracy programs starting this Friday.

In a letter to CCHR, the director of FM 90 said CCHR continues to attack FUNCINPEC after FM90 sent a warning letter in late May.

Mr. Kem Sokha, CCHR Director, confirms the order to stop his center's programs and says he will take FM90 to court for breaching the contract.

In the latest development, Mr. Kem Sokha said, as a partner in the Alliance of Democrats with the FUNCINPEC Party, the Sam Rainsy Party told him it would try to reach a compromise that would allow the broadcast to continue.
