At least 85 high-ranking FUNCINPEC members in the government sign a petition Monday asking their president Norodom Ranariddh for his permission to resign.
FUNCINPEC spokesman Neou Kasie said FUNCINPEC members are not happy because the Cambodian People's Party have been illegally replacing FUNCINPEC officials with CPP members.
CPP spokesman Khieu Kanharith said the petition does not affect the functioning of the current caretaker government. He said the resignations would save Cambodia a lot of money to build roads.
