Working Groups Fail to Reach Agreements on Important Issues Wednesday - 2004-04-28

FUNCINPEC and CPP working groups fails to agree on the important reform proposals Wednesday but remain optimistic.

Following the talks, CPP spokesman Khieu Kanharith told VOA both parties have agreed on ten more issues bringing the number of issues they have agreed upon to 60. He said there are now 13 more issues to solve.

FUNCINPEC spokesman Neov Kasie said FUNCINPEC's positions on the reforms remained unchanged, and the two sides will intensify the negotiations for the next two days by holding both AM and PM sessions each day.
