Victims of the Khmer Rouge Regime Want Top Leaders Arrested - 2004-04-05

A group of Khmer Rouge victims are writing a letter requesting the government's chief prosecutor to issue an arrest warrant for the former Khmer Rouge leaders.

In the letter to be sent out Tuesday, the group names the top Khmer Rouge leaders Khieu Samphan, Nuon Chea and Ieng Sary.

Among the people who sign the letter is Opposition Party member Mr. Sonn Chhay. He said there should be no double standard in dealing with the former Khmer Rouger leaders.

He asked why the government arrested Ta Mok and Duch while letting the others live freely.
