The VOA Khmer Service reports news about Cambodia, America and the world. It also broadcasts feature programs to explain and analyze current events and life in America, reports on science and agriculture, and English lessons.
VOA Khmer Service broadcast began its first program on August 15, 1955. Today, the Service broadcasts 1.5 hours a day to Cambodia and Southeast Asia.
VOA Khmer is broadcast by VOA's 1000 KW medium wave transmitter in Bangkok and by shortwave transmitters from the Philippines.
