Revered Monk to Lie in State

Temple authorities have moved the body of the revered monk Maha Ghosananda from the hospital where he died in North Hampton, Mass., to a place of honor in the Triratanaram Buddhist Temple in North Chelmsford, Mass.

His body will lie in state into April, with special events to be held at the temple on the weekends through April 8.

Ghosananda earned a Nobel Prize nomination for his efforts to rebuild Cambodian Buddhism after the fall of the Khmer Rouge and led peace delegations around the world.
