The marriage/adultery law was adopted with 64 votes from 69 voices was reportedly done to stop Funcinpec's leader, Prince Norodom Ranariddh from practicing his political profession, since his action is against this principle.
Funcinpec party members walked out of the National Assembly's meeting showing the party's internal unity.
