Human rights officials and politicians push authorities for the arrest of Hang Vuthy or Yumariech (Angel of death) and other prisoners who recently escape from prison.
They want him caught alive to avoid impunity for those behind them who escaped justice so many times in the past.
Human Rights Association Adhoc investigation officer Chan Saveth is concerned about the escapee, saying he urges authorities to capture Hang Vuthy alive.
He says that this individual is an important example for an independent judicial system in Cambodia, and a probe into the perpetrators who committed many crimes in the past.
Hang Vuthy was charged with the murder of honorable Sok Sethamony, Phnom Penh court judge in February, and 11 prisoners, escape Prey Sar prison on March 11, 2006.
NGO Licadho director Pung Chhiv Kek says that it is important to catch him alive so there will not be any brains left behind to do harm.
