Opposition Sam Rainsy party (SRP) and the families of the victims of the 1997 grenade attacks ask the Cambodian government to conduct an investigation into the March 30, 1997 grenade attacks which left at least 16 people dead and 150 wounded.
The grenade attack occured in front of the National Assembly building, on demonstrators lead by opposition party leader Sam Rainsy, protesting the court system which is not independent.
The people who commit this heinous act have not been caught yet until today. In the attack, an American citizen was wounded.
