Advisers and Assistants Rally Behind Prince Ranariddh

Over 100 advisers and assistants are behind prince Ranariddh in his political leadership toward victory even though they lost their jobs due to the prince's resignation from the National Assembly's presidency last week, say officials close to the prince.

Political observers say that the prince seems to be unhappy about Prime Minister Hun Sen's public criticisms several times against his roylalist FUNCINPEC party.

These advisers and assistants were appointed to help the prince after he was appointed president of the Assembly in the 1998 election.

Their positions are equal to under secretaries and ministers and receive a salary of at least 250 US dollars.

Prince Ranariddh's office director Noranarith Anand Dayat says that these people are helping the prince in his work in his party.
